Characteristics of Ceramic Rope
- Great Flexibility: ceramic fiber square has greater flexibility than ceramic fiber board. So it can fill up the corners or gaps. It can easily be bent to any shape to suit different places. So it is usually used for sealing the door in high-temperature equipment.
- Chemical Resistance: Ceramic fiber braided rope can resist most chemical solutions except HF, phosphoric acid, and strong alkaline. It benefits from a steady chemical structure. In this situation, ceramic rope can resist the severe environment in the high-temperature equipment.
- Low Thermal Conductivity: Ceramic fiber has low thermal conductivity. So ceramic fiber square braided rope can insulate the heat in the high-temperature equipment. For one thing, it can reduce heat transfer to keep a high-temperature environment. Another aspect, it can protect workers in case scalded by steam.
- Thermal Shock Resistance: Ceramic rope seal has good thermal shock resistance. It can resist the hot air and mechanical shock. So ceramic rope packing presents good abrasion resistance. In practical use, it will not deform.
